Ann Carter Calling

Ann Carter walked into her first old-time community dance as a college student in 1992, and has never looked back. Since then she has become a dance caller, clogger, musician, and all-around enthusiast for old time music & dance -- which she sees as the one of the world's most joyful endeavors.

 

Having danced with the Twin Cities' based Wild Goose Chase Cloggers for five years, Ann is now primarily a caller and teacher. In addition to calling dances at a wide variety of private and community events, Ann is regularly found calling the Monday Night Square Dance (Eagles Club #34 in Minneapolis, every 1st and 3rd Monday--starting up again in Spring of 2022!) or teaching clogging around the Twin Cities. 

 

As a caller, Ann is known for her clear teaching style, her positive enthusiam, and her ability to make it a fun & successful experience for everyone -- new and experienced dancers alike!

 

Ann calls dances for groups of all sizes at weddings, family reunions, corporate events, block parties, schools, churches, fundraisers, and just about anywhere for any reason! 

 

Ann also offers private & group clogging instruction, 'first dance' lessons for wedding couples, and wedding ceremony officiation.
